From Card to App: Denmark's Travel Transformation
With the nationwide rollout of the Rejsekort mobile app in September 2024, following a limited pilot in April, Denmark is moving decisively towards mobile-first public transport. This session looks at how the app is being scaled while a non-digital, card-based alternative (Basiskort) and new readers are introduced to ensure everyone can travel, and at the roadmap to discontinue the existing plastic card by 2026.
