Data driving response to reduce ticketing fraud on GB railways
The move to digital is a game changer from a counter fraud perspective. The rich data from barcodes and smartcards leaves behind a trail of “data crumbs” that helps detect opportunistic customers who are committing fraud on our railways. RDG is using this data to counter fraud and make improvements to ticketing standards and developing actionable dashboards which inform operational and strategic decisions. This session will highlight initiatives and collaboration that is enabling RDG to protect taxpayers' revenue and recoup revenue across the industry.
