A few years ago, the finances of Mexico City's public transportation system were undergoing an important fraud that prevented any progress in ticketing issues. Through security and control mechanisms it was possible to financially clean up the ticketing system, to continue towards a transformation of the system: integrating all modes of transport in a single prepaid card, starting with open payments, extending the prepaid card to the megalopolis and, most importantly, making a better travel experience for the nearly 8 million people who use public transport every day.
