In 2023, The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) has successfully upgraded its Automatic Fare Collection (AFC) system to introduce National Common Mobility Card (NCMC), QR ticketing and future provision for Account Based Ticketing & NFC Media. This strategic initiative aligns with the evolving landscape of transit systems, emphasizing interoperability, digital ticketing solutions, and cashless payment modes.
