Neill Birch is SYSTRA’s business director responsible for public transport consultancy in the UK and Ireland. In a career spanning over 30 years, he has worked for both major public transport operators and in the consultancy services sector, gaining experience in over 15 countries around the world.  He has advised transport operators; national, regional and local transport authorities; and government departments, providing insights about how best to achieve their aspirations for high quality transport services.  Neill’s team have delivered transport ticketing solutions for many clients, including Transport for Wales, Transport Scotland, Merseytravel, Transport for the West Midlands, and Ireland’s National Transport Authority alongside many other public and private sector customers, advising on credible technical solutions, ticketing strategies, procurement of equipment, and implementation of complex digital solutions.
