During an exciting career, Jorgen has been responsible for the delivery of several award-winning, innovative, and business-transformational Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS) programs across the breadth of the traffic and public transport sectors. These have included a combination of passenger information systems, such as the London Journey Planner, first-mile-last-mile intelligent routing systems, smart ticketing solutions encompassing Account Based Ticketing, cEMV (contactless Eurocard, Mastercard, Visa), bar-code ticketing and even gate line upgrades, and on-bus ticket validation solutions. 

Jorgen was responsible for the delivery of the London, San Francisco and elements of the UK national Journey Planners, as well as the Nottingham and Derby Ride solution – perhaps the most integrated MaaS solution currently available in the UK.  He has been responsible for an integrated First-Mile/Last-Mile solution for Medicaid patients in New York, and is currently authoring of a series of articles that aims to define how best to deliver MaaS type solutions within a deregulated environment as found in the UK, published by ITS UK. 

He has been responsible for the delivery of elements of multiple ticketing solutions, including a cEMV solution in both Australia and New Zealand, digital ticketing solutions in Calgary, Tokyo, Rochester NY, Saskatoon, a gate line upgrade for the LA Metro and various other programs, including the design of an airside autonomous vehicle solution at Brussels airport, now implemented and expanding in line with the proposed testing and delivery schedule.

During his 13-year tenure with London Underground/Transport for London (LUL/TfL) Jorgen was seconded to the Department for Transport (DfT) to be the UK lead for several European Union-led initiatives to promote the delivery of advanced public transport systems through emerging technologies.

Jorgen is an enthusiastic speaker at both international and domestic conferences, and most recently presented at the Move 2025 Conference (London), LTT Summit (Derby), the Navigate Mobility Conference (Prague) and will also present at the Transport Ticketing Global 2026 conference in London.

Jorgen has worked tirelessly to deliver best-in-class and award-winning solutions, he comes with a wealth of experience and would like nothing better than to support this Intelligent Mobility Forum and ITS UK and its members in general.
