Javier Cancela is the CEO of Recaudo Bogota SAS (RB), the company running the automated fare collection, fleet management and passenger information platforms for the public transit system in Bogotá, Colombia. He joined RB as CTO in 2012 and then as CEO for the past 9 years, facing the challenges of a public transit system in a densely populated city of an underbanked developing economy.
