Gael Barbier
Gaël Barbier is the Regional Director of TER Occitanie at SNCF Voyageurs and the Regional Coordinator for the SNCF Group in Occitanie. Appointed to this role in October 2023, he oversees the operation of 570 regional trains running daily in Occitanie as part of the partnership between SNCF Voyageurs and the Occitanie Region, the organising authority.
With over 25 years' experience in rail transport management, he drives innovation to improve the passenger experience, notably through the roll-out of award-winning contactless payment solutions (such as Mobile-Pay-As-You-Go). Committed to improving passenger satisfaction on a daily basis, he and his teams are helping to change mobility habits by offering a credible alternative to private cars for more sustainable travel and to protect the planet.
