Francis Sykes
After 3 years in applied research, Francis Sykes worked for 10 years in the mobile phone industry, in research and development, product marketing and finally in product strategy.
Francis joined RATP in 2003 where he has held various management positions in ITS including 8 years as head of engineering, ticketing. Since 2013, he is seconded to Ixxi, now RATP Smart Systems where he is Product and Services Marketing director.
RATP Smart Systems is the RATP Group subsidiary dedicated to Smart mobility enablers and mobility-enhancement services that encourage modal shift to public transport and durable modes. This includes ticketing, RTPI, MaaS and fleet management systems.
RATP Smart Systems is present in 10 countries, 120 transport networks and employs 200 dedicated people.
Francis Sykes is a graduate from Ecole Polytechnique, Telecom Paristech, France, and Sheffield University, England.
He is the author of 10 international patents.
