David has worked in the transport and technology sectors for over 20 years and is currently the Strategic and Commercial Director within the Fares, Ticketing and Retail (FTR) programme. He brings extensive experience from senior roles across rail, mobility technology and digital retail, including leadership positions at Trainline and Vix Technology. David began his rail career at Trainline, where he led the commercial and operational transformation of its B2B businesses and contributed to its successful 2019 IPO.

Since 2025 David has been part of the FTR Programme, which is bringing together key parts of the rail industry to make fares clearer, ticketing simpler and journeys more seamless for passengers. He leads on retail strategy and the commercial business case for future fares and ticketing reform, helping shape how customers will buy and use their tickets across Great Britain.
