The OSPT Alliance is an international association chartered to define a new open standard for secure transit fare collection solutions. The Confederation of Passenger Transport UK (CPT) is recognised by government as the trade association for the bus, coach and light rail industries. We are the focus for consultation and negotiation on legislation, regulation, practices and standards. Since its establishment in 1992 to understand and promote a rapidly emerging smart card industry, Smartex has developed the foremost group of forums in that market. Pteg - the Passenger Transport Executive Group - brings together and promotes the interests of the six Passenger Transport Executives (PTEs) in England. Leicester City Council, Nottingham City Council, Strathclyde Partnership for Transport and Transport for London are associate members.pteg has two main tasks:
